The folks at ENERGYbits recently sent me a sample to review.  Drum roll for my 1st product review!  ENERGYbits are made from 100% organic spirulina algae with only 1 calorie per tab.  It is high in protein (64%), increasing energy & endurance while curbing hunger.  Although they appear to be pills, they are actually "bits of... Bike to Work Day 2012

I returned to the Mississauga crowd for the 6th annual Bike to Work Day.  This event is held at various locations in the GTA & Hamilton Area to kick off the cycling season & promote cycling as a smart way to commute.  I attended the Toronto Event last year but it just didn't feel right... Being an energy bar junkie has flattened my wallet over the past year.  When selecting bars, I'm not concerned about whether they are organic; however, they do need to be natural (as much as possible).  Natural products are conveniently pricier than those overdosed with glucose-fructose.  I rely on them primarily for cardio activities (biking &... The Shed Finale

I hit up The Shed in Belfountain, ON (Route map) today for the 4th & probably last time this year.  No particular reason except for the love of coffee & cycling.  I didn't wear my attires properly today & suffered horrible saddle pain.  I was stopping every ~5km to alleviate the pain.  It was a... Shout-out to Taste of Nature

This is a quick shout-out to one of my favourite granola bars of all times, Taste of Nature.  These bars are 100% organic without any preservatives or artificial flavours. Green Monster

I joined the Green Monster Movement.  Why?  Simple - green is my favourite colour & it's a great excuse to use bananas.  😀 I made my 1st Green Monster last night: 2 C spinach 1 banana 2 tsp whole chia seeds 1 C skim milk Directions: Throw everything in blender; blend until smooth; pour into an awesome tumbler & refrigerate.... Oats again

My mom survived her 1st hot yoga session at Moksha!  The 90min of sweaty goodness just flew by.  I wanted to go to Zoe's Bakery Cafe for lunch afterward but my mom had to hurry home for an appointment.  😦 Oh well, this calls for oatmeal!  I wanted to mash a banana in it, but... Continue Reading →

I've never driven in Toronto due to the amt of pedestrians & traffic congestion.  I either bike, walk,... Continue Reading →
